SYDNEY OPEN CALL FOR BOYS AGED 12-14 FOR A NEW ABC KIDS DANCE SHOW
We’re looking across Sydney for BOYS (aged 12-14yo) with acting & dancing (Hip-Hop) skills to audition for a guest role in a new ABC Kids Dance Show.
(This is a scripted live action television series).
Logline: When a dance club opens in an Aussie country town, the local kids discover dancing isn’t just fun-it’s the magical secret to getting things done!
Dance requirements: Dance skills are essential. This role includes a dance-off in a confident hip-hop style performance.
We’re looking for a naturally cool, confident and characterful young performer - someone with real presence and swagger, who feels believable as the “cool cousin.”
Applicants must be Sydney based and available in July 2026. This will be shooting in Sydney. Confirmed dates are TBC but we predict this would be approx 3 days shoot.
This is a Paid opportunity. No previous acting experience required.
Audition (Dance) note: As part of the audition, kids will be asked to perform a short hip hop style routine. We are very much open to all levels we warmly encourage all applicants to give it a go. Just do your best and have fun with it!

PAUL - Male, 12-14yo, All ethncities
Slightly older, slightly taller and definitely too cool for this town. Chika’s cousin, who used to be small, unassuming and bookish. But on his most recent visit to town, Paul’s got a backward cap, calculator watch and box-fresh new sneakers. Talk about rizz. Plus he’s got hip-hop moves the likes the Dance Club has never seen. To the country kids, he’s effortlessly sophisticated. But beneath the cool exterior he is a nervous kid adjusting to change and looking to fit in. Chika was the inspiration for Paul to learn his signature moves – so all he really wants is to pop-and-lock with the gang.
