UK OPEN CALL - SCOTTISH GIRLS (TO PLAY 9-11)

We’re looking across the UK for girls with authentic Scottish accents (to play 9-11) to audition for various lead/support roles in a studio feature film.

We’re looking for interesting, characterful young performers with authentic Scottish accents (any region). The characters in our film range from shy to outgoing and everywhere in between, so we are genuinely open to all types. No one particular look or personality is preferred.

Accent: Scottish - scripted as Edinburgh, but for the purpose of the first audition we are open to any Scottish region.

Applicants should be based in the UK and have good availability from Aug-Dec 2026. (Exact dates over this period TBC.)

Filming will take place in London, and the girls will likely be required for approximately five to six weeks, with some rehearsal prior. A parent or guardian will be required to accompany them to set throughout.

This is a paid opportunity for successful applicants. The production would provide all travel and accommodation costs.

No previous acting experience is required.

Child welfare

We take the welfare of every child in this process seriously. Your child will never be asked to audition alone, and a parent or guardian is welcome to be present at every stage. If your child is cast in the film, robust industry protections are in place for child performers. Productions working with minors are required to comply with strict regulations covering working hours, rest breaks, on-set time and supervision. A dedicated child welfare officer will be present throughout the shoot, and your child's wellbeing, education and safety are protected by law. The production takes those obligations seriously.
