DRAG QUEENS - Australia & New Zealand Open Casting Call
We’re looking across Australia & New Zealand for Drag Queens (18+) to audition for various roles in an Australian feature film.
All ethnicities, 18+ Years. Based anywhere in Australia or NZ. The majority of these roles will require acting, but no previous acting experience needed to apply.
Dance/singing skills are a plus, but not a necessity for all roles.
Strongly encouraging applicants of all cultural backgrounds to apply.
All applicants must be based in Australia or New Zealand.
This is a paid opportunity (rate varies per role) + relevant travel/accom covered.
Please note, this casting call is for freelance performers. If you are represented, contact your agent, as all agents have been briefed about these roles.
Availability:
This project is currently set to shoot and rehearse Feb-March 2026 in Melbourne. Different roles will hilst successful applicants won’t be required for every shoot date, they must have good availability and flexibility during those months (of course, minor scheduling conflicts across those months can be discussed).
You do not have to be based in Melbourne, but you will have to be available to shoot there for the project.
Number of shoot days / size of commitment will vary per role.
