BOY Aged 4-8 - Australia-Wide Open Call
We are looking for a boy aged 4 - 8 (or a very small 9 y.o!) to play 5-6y.o.
Looking for a mature-minded young boy to shoot in a small role in a US feature.
The role requires an emotionally robust kid who will be able to pretend to be frightened (realistically!), as they appear in a scene where violence is taking place. During the filming of this scene, the young performer will be positioned where he does not have a line of sight to the action, e.g. behind a sofa - however he will still hear the scene, which includes scuffling and screaming. Due to the nature of this scene, we are looking for a child who can understand the difference between real and make believe know that everyone is just acting a scene.
Welfare measures will be in place to ensure the actor is fully aware of the make-believe elements of the scene.
Applicants must be available from Nov 2026 - Jan 2027. (Exact dates over this period TBC. This role would more than likely only shoot 1 x day in that period.)
Filming will take place in Adelaide. The production would provide all travel and accommodation costs for the young performer + parent/guardian.
No previous acting experience is required.
Please note, this casting call is for freelance performers. We will be briefing agents, so if you are represented, please ask your agent to suggest you, rather than using this open call form.
